Work awarded with the First Prize at V Concurso Galego de Composición para Banda in 2012. The whole piece in conceived as a great variation of a very popular Galician folk melody, the famous Muiñeira de Lugo. The first three notes of this melody (C-B-G), are used as the main motive throughout the work. However, the whole original tune is quoted in the last section of the piece, which as the Muiñeira, is a dance in 6/8.
