Witches's Night

This grade 3 piece is obviously descriptive in nature. As the subtitle of each section states, tries to depict three scenes or atmospheres: Legend, Witches’s Gathering and Saint John’s Night. I used some “extramusical” elements to help the players and audience to be immersed in this bewitched world such as whispering, talking, witches laughing and several whirlies to simulate the flying witches on their brooms. In many cultures, Saint John’s night is meant to be magical and festive, and when the witches more likely show to people.
